About the GOM Community

The Glen Oaks Manor Community is managed by the HOA Board of Directors and community members. Owners can find more community information and important documents on the Residents Page.

Glen Oaks Manor is a lovely community of villas, built on beautiful wooded land, bordering Beneva Road and 17th Street in Sarasota Florida. The 40+ year old community (1979 -1986) is named for the grand oak trees that canopy many of the roads which provide cooler, shady summers. A wide variety of plants and trees preserve the beauty of this natural setting. Two gazebos on the banks of the main pond provide a scenic spot for watching birds, the amazing Florida wildlife and provide the perfect venue for pot luck dinners, community events and even weddings!

 

The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus had been headquartered on this site before it relocated to Venice (and later, to Tampa)

The community is a special natural setting with comfortable villas that afford privacy while being only three miles from downtown Sarasota, four miles to UTC shopping, and five miles from the local airport!  From Beneva Road, you are within walking distance to shops, restaurants, grocery stores and a post office!

Landscaping and Property Maintenance

 

The Significance of Landscaping in a community cannot be overestimated. The Covenants of the Association require that it maintain the Common Area. The Landscape Committee supervises an amazing team of professionals. Glen Oaks Manor beautifully maintains your private exterior courtyard areas. Common areas such as community lawns and pond are the responsibility of the HOA.
